April is Month of the Military Child, a time to honor and recognize their sacrifices and unique challenges. These children experience the pain of separation from their military mom or dad. They also face the reality that their parent may die for their country. Unquestionably, it is a different experience than their peers, and they need support! As a family with four generations of military children, I know firsthand the importance of support from schools.

- develop stakeholder networks.

- Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Offer RTI for targeted academic and emotional support.
- Connect families with resources and support services. Programs like Our Military Kids can help provide grant-funded extracurricular activities and programs for military children, helping them develop new skills and connect with peers. Additionally, tutoring is provided for FREE by Tutor.com for these students.
