Lisa Weiler Haskins has been an Educational Assistant for 22 years. She has worked in classroom settings from Junior Kindergarten to high school. She has also held down second jobs as a waitress and as a cake decorator. Lisa is currently working full-time as the Vice President of the Educational Assistants Association in Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada, supporting over 1000 members. Her goal is to raise awareness about the important roles and responsibilities Educational Assistants and Child and Youth Workers have in schools and to advocate where improvements can be made.
Jessica Haskins has been an Educational Assistant since 2015, and is a pre-service elementary school teacher (Medaille College, Buffalo, New York). Jess has an honors degree in Sociology from McMaster University, and is also a certified Yoga instructor at Modo Yoga in Brantford, Ontario. Jess is a firm believer that we rise by lifting others.
