- Tell students all the rules BEFORE you go outside. (outdoor noise, big space, too many distractions.
- Set some ground rules:
- Set the space (where are they allowed to go and where are they NOT allowed to go)
- Have a transition cue for:
- Play mini games before you take them outside.
- Take a whistle – it’s super noisy outside and they WILL NOT hear you
- Tell students to bring a water bottle, and be sure to leave time for a quick 2 minute break.
- BONUS: Pro tip – call the front office and let them know you’re going outside or take a walkie-talkie so they aren’t looking for you.
