Segment 2: New Tools and Updates

    • Snappet: Snappet is a K-5 math program that balances hands-on learning with digital resources and adaptive learning technology. Snappet provides teachers with powerful insight into student’s learning and real-time feedback during lesson instruction. Each lesson embeds Conceptual Learning as the foundation and is designed around the CPA model (Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract) of best practices for instruction. This lesson approach begins with Student Discovery activities utilizing real-world situations to build a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts to develop lifelong learning and success.
    • ALEE:  Alexandria Learning Ecosystem for Educators (ALEE) is a tech-enabled but teacher-first instructional tool that allows teachers to create rigorous lesson plans for books with the guidance of experts. We provide curated instructional content for high-quality literary works by the experts themselves: teachers.

    • Personal assistant (PA)
    • Upload a document and ask for the PA to make quiz questions based on the document
    • Translate the quiz into different languages

  • Idea Mapper: ideamapper is a powerful mind mapping, visual learning and writing tool, which produces well-structured documents.

  • Lumio:  Lumio is the digital learning tool for transforming lessons into active, collaborative learning experiences that engage students on their own devices.
  • Stretch
    • Get ready for “Stretch,” a chatbot being designed specifically for K-12 educators.  The chatbot is the brainchild of the newly combined professional development mega organization created by the merger of the International Society for Technology in Education and ASCD.  The nonprofit organization has worked with Google and Open AI (the team behind ChatGPT) to create its very own chatbot, informed by the same kind of large language models that power ChatGPT, persona bots, and other artificial intelligence tools. The Stretch prototype is currently being tested by a select group of people and is not yet available for public use.
  • Canva for Education Creator:  Canva is running a new marketplace initiative, Education Creators, with a small group of early adopters. The Education Creator program is designed to add learning resources to the Canva library through content submissions from teachers all over the world. This will ensure Canva for Education teachers and students can find resources for every subject, grade, and classroom need right from the Canva marketplace. Today, we’ll hear from a few of our early adopters to learn more about their experience in the Education Creator program.
